22nd April Earth Day Celebrations At MSB

As life renews itself with vitality and vigour after the cold days of winter, people the world over celebrate ‘Earth Day’ with equal enthusiasm on 22nd April. It is an occasion to remind ourselves of our responsibilities towards this great storehouse of riches and bounties that Allah has bestowed upon us in the form of ‘Mother Earth’.
The students at Al-Madrasa did not hold back; they were out for a cause: Saving Earth.
In the educational Activity, the students of classes 5-7 created picture stories to show how the earth is slowly being destroyed through the careless and selfish attitude of man and what can be done about it.
They wrote acrostic poems and the students of class 5 presented skits on various earth-related topics.
The secondary students also presented a skit on Friday in which the earth of yesteryears and today’s earth have a conversation in which they identify the environmental issues of today and pledge to do their bit to conserve the vast natural resources of our land.
The students reminded themselves of Aqa Maula’s concern over environmental issues as seen especially in the ‘Plant a Tree’ drive this Milad Mubarak and ‘Save the Sparrows’ drive last year.
They had fun with origami as they made flowers in a flower pot as a symbolic gesture using recycled newspaper.
As Aqa Maula TUS and His Mansus Maulaya AaliQadr TUS travel the length and breadth of the earth to give shifa to the ailing lands and seas, and the bodies, hearts and souls of the people who dwell in them, and fill them with barakaat, we pray that may this renewal of life herald the good tidings of both Maula’s Tashri-fawri in our land. Ameen.
