KU student wins Bangladesh scholarship
Murtaza Quaid Kanchwala, a third-year architecture student of the Department of Visual Studies, University of Karachi, has been selected to receive the `Rafique Azam Travelling Scholarship 2012' organized by Atelier Pakistan.
The scholarship enables one student to visit Bangladesh for one week and intern at Rafique Azam's office in June 2012.
The scholarship provides the return airfare from Karachi to Dhaka, as well as all boarding and lodging expenses for the duration of the stay in Bangladesh.

KU student wins BD scholarship
Karachi, Murtaza Quaid Kanchwala, a 3rd year Architecture student of the Department of Visual Studies, University of Karachi has been selected to receive the Rafique Azam Travelling Scholarship 2012 organized by Atelier Pakistan.
Students of the four universities of Karachi offering degrees in architecture – University of Karachi, NED University of Engineering and Technology, Indus Valley School of Art & Architecture, and Dawood University of Engineering and Technology were invited to submit their portfolios.
Three shortlisted students including Murtaza Quaid Kanchwala, 3rd year Architecture student at the Department of Visual Studies, University of Karachi were invited to speak briefly about their portfolios at the Atelier event at T2F, where Murtaza Quaid Kanchwala was awarded the scholarship.
The travel scholarship was set up by the award winning Bangladeshi architect, Rafique Azam. The Scholarship enables one student to visit Bangladesh for one week and intern at Rafique Azam’s office in June 2012.
The scholarship provides the return airfare from Karachi to Dhaka, as well as all boarding and lodging expenses for the duration of the stay in Bangladesh.

According to statistics, 15,746 candidates appeared in the examination and of these 3,522 were declared as successful with a pass percentage of 22.37.

Life-changing experience: Student wins Bangladeshi scholarship
KARACHI: A third-year architecture student from the visual studies department of Karachi University (KU) bagged the “Rafiq Azam travelling scholarship 2012”. The travel scholarship, won by Murtaza Quaid Kanchwala, was set up by the award-winning Bangladeshi architect, Rafiq Azam. Kanchwala will visit Bangladesh and intern for a week at Azam’s office. Students from the KU, Indus Valley School of Arts and Architecture, NED University of Engineering and Technology and Dawood College of Engineering and Technology were invited to submit their portfolios. Three students were shortlisted and invited to speak briefly about their ideas at an event organised at PeaceNiche T2F.
