MSB Sports Gala 2013

The annual sports gala 2013 at MSB Haidery had a different feel to it. It incorporated all the lofty objectives of previous Sports Meets but in a less competitive and more cooperative, fun-filled manner. Extending over three days, all students from class 1 till class 7 were divided into four teams namely, Champions, Heroes, Riders and Thunders.

Students played cricket, throwball, handball, darts and many other games with the preliminary matches for primary classes held on Monday 21st January and for Secondary classes on Tuesday 22nd January. A friendly match of throwball was also played at the end of the day on Tuesday between the boys and girls finalists.

On Wednesday 23rd January, all the finals were held. All the classes then assembled in the ground in their respective groups for the Boys Final Throwball Match. It turned out to be a real close call and even the little class ones sat watching with bated breath curious to know which way the wind will blow.

Al-Masool Janab Shk. Shamoil Bhai then briefly spoke a few words of appreciation and encouragement and announced the winners-Champions and runners-up-Heroes. Both teams went wild with excitement as they came up to collect their trophy amid thunderous applause with the remaining two teams cheering just as hard for their friends.
